Windows 10 is coming and how to be ready for it

Guys, we all know that windows 10 is going to be released on 29th july, 2015. Unlike all other versions of Windows(example: Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1 etc.), Windows 10 update will be free. Yes, you heard it right 'free'.You just require internet connections because you have to download the update. You would have reserve windows 10 update, otherwise you will not get update. 



To reserve windows 10 update, you should have the following requirements in your PC/Laptop:



1. You must have Windows 7 service pack 1, Windows 8/8.1 .



2. Make sure you don't have Windows 7 Enterprise, Windows 8/8.1 Enterprise or Windows 8 RT/8.1 RT.



3. Make sure you have activated and genuine Windows.

If your PC/Laptop has all the above requirements, then go to windows update and update every important and optional updates (except language updates)












Once you have installed each and every update, then you may see 'windows 10 app' icon in the taskbar as shown below.



Once you get this icon, you will see a window as shown below 



and your windows 10 update will be reserved!!




There must be some people whose PC/Laptops meet the requirements but still the 'Windows 10 app' is not visible, They must try these instructions:
  1. Make sure you have the updates installed- kb3035583 and kb2952664


  1. Or you can try this:


  • Open Notepad.


  • Copy the script following in notepad.

  • Save it as ReserveWin10.cmd in the folder of 'temp' in the C drive.


  • Run the file as administrator.
  • Once it verifies that your PC meets the requirements and it have the updates, then you will see a success message which will force the app to open.


This has worked for me. I hope that it may work for you :)
